Seneca United - NCSL U18/19 FALL '08. Based in Silver Spring area in MD, will look at hard players at all positions including Goalkeeper who are willing to commit to what it takes to be on a Premier Soccer Team, who will understand that soccer is a very serious sport and works hard on practicing his skill and techniques with the team.

The team practices now twice a week before the season, holds practices and conditioning sessions year-round and participates in Pre-Season College Showcase Tournaments and competitive tournaments, indoor league in Summer and Winter (with the exception of the fall season as our players are participating on their high school teams, practices only one time for week) also play Futsal Tournament and league. The practice field is located in Layhill Local Park.

Seneca Eagles

The U18 Seneca Eagles have been restructured for WAGS play in the Spring 2008 season with a new coaching staff that includes Rob Kurtz (B-CC HS), Mike Hayes (Rockville HS) and Steve Weiss (Goalkeeper). This staff also coaches the U19 SSA Fillies in WAGS.

Joint team training, practices and scrimmages are held in Rockville. Both teams train together year-round. The training objectives are to prepare the players for high school and college play. Team members are from high schools in Montgomery and Howard county as well as the District of Columbia. We will participate in the following tournaments - Freestate, Maryland State Cup, Potomac and Towson.

Seneca Strikers

A travel boys U16 soccer team playing in the National Capital Area Soccer League (NCSL) are conducting tryouts for our Fall 2008 season.  To be eligible to tryout, you must be born after July 31, 1992.  

Our team practices in the Gaithersburg area twice a week, and routinely has a professional trainer come in to assist the players to develop and improve their soccer skills. We are in need of a goalkeeper, a defender, and another impact field player.  Our team will play in 2-3 tournaments and emphasizes player development and fun while learning soccer.  We have a great group of kids and parents.

The Seneca Stingers, a U-13 Boys team playing in the NCSL league, is looking for committed, skilled players.  We practice in the Gaithersburg/Rockville area.

Seneca Storm
 
The SSA Storm, a U-15 team, is now holding tryouts (born 8/1/93-7/31/94) for Fall 2008 play. We are looking for highly motivated field players and 1 keeper who have a desire to strengthen their skills, improve their game in a supportive team environment.

The team will play soccer year round, including winter indoor soccer and Futsal, and participate in 8-10 tournaments annually. Practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Bethesda/Potomac area. Coach Harris has a USSF License and is a NSCAA Certified Goalie Coach and has been coaching for over 12 seasons.

Seneca Dufief Dragons

SSA Dufief Dragons NCSL U-14 Boys in North Potomac/Gaithersburg U-15 next fall

We are looking for  high impact, motivated, players at all positions who want to join and grow with our team.  We are currently playing in division five and working to move up to D4.  Our head coach, Chris Metellus, holds a USSF National (D) license and has been playing/coaching soccer for 25 years.  Chris' experience includes:  playing at Howard University, professional indoor soccer (Washington Warthogs & Baltimore Blast) as well as professional (A) league with the 1st division Washington Mustangs. 

The Dufief Dragons conduct two practices per week at Dufief ES in North Potomac. In addition to the regular seasons, our winter program will consist of training/scrimmaging once a week indoors and playing indoor    
league in the winter second session. The Dragons will participate in several tournaments per year. Our goals are to help our players develop their skills, sportsmanship and understanding of the game while still having fun.

Seneca Rapids
 
The Seneca Rapids, a U15 NCSL team in the fall, are holding tryouts throughout the summer for interested players born after Aug. 1, 1993. We are part of a two-team group trained full-time by Coerver Coaching of Maryland under the supervision of Lance Van Winter of Whitman HS. Goalkeeper training is provided by former UMD varsity keeper Rich Labonski. Strength and conditioning training is handled by Jim Fox, formerly of the Washington Capitals. The Rapids group consists of a travel squad supported by a Div. 1 MSI-Classic team. A variety of positions are currently available on both rosters.
 
Head Coach Jim Haner holds a USSF E-license and has partially completed the NSCAA Advanced Regional course. He has coached travel up to Div. 2 of the NCSL, and is the author of the critically acclaimed new book, Soccerhead: An Accidental Journey Into The Heart of The American Game (see: www.soccerheadbook.com).

Seneca Dragons III

If you are a motivated, committed and skilled soccer player AND you were born between August 1, 1997 to July 31, 1998, then the Seneca U-10 Dragons III (boys) would like to meet you ASAP!

We play in U-11 NCSL in the Fall 2008 season and are coached by Sara Zarate.

Seneca United U-10
 
Seneca United  98, U-10 Boys, (born after Aug 1, 1998 - July 31, 1999), Based to Rockville and Silver Spring is looking for former dedicated and skillful players at all positions. During the Fall 2008 season we are building the new team, committed to improvement in individual player skills and techniques.

Coached by Luis Calderon, the team is committed to player development and team success, will maintains a year long training program with full participation of all players expected. The team plays in several competitive tournaments each season including Indoor Summer and Winter.

Seneca Screaming Eagles

The SSA Screaming Eagles, U12 for Fall 2008 (currently Div. 2), will be holding tryouts on June 4, 6, 11, and 13 at the Montgomery Village Foundation field (behind building), at 10120 Apple Ridge Road, Montgomery Village, MD 20886. Tryouts will run from 6 to 7:30pm. Players are encouraged to attend all tryouts.

The Screaming Eagles are coached and trained by USSF licensed coaches. The Screaming Eagles participate in 2 tournaments prior to each season and 4-6 per year. The team practices from August to June and participates in an indoor league and practice during the winter.

The Screaming Eagles are looking for players who are committed to soccer as a primary sport and want to train with like-minded players in a fun team environment. We are looking for and have openings for all positions for the Fall season.

Seneca Spurs

SSA Spurs  seek rising U-11 Boys (DOB 8-1-1997 to 7-31-1998) to join us for the Fall 2008 campaign.

The Spurs have been together for 3 seasons.  We have a good core, but are looking for a few more for the fall and beyond.  We emphasize possession-driven "total soccer," fun and commitment.  Our kids are committed to the team ,the game and each other. They have become fast friends on and off the field.

Coaches Rich Labonski and Jim Whittle are both experienced coaches--with USSF licensing, many years of select and travel coaching—as well as former four-year college varsity players.

We would welcome skilled, hardworking and positive players for tryouts.

Seneca Lone Star

The SSA Lone Star U-17 Boys NCSL soccer team is now holding tryouts for Fall 2008. Jose Chile is a USSF "C" Nationally Licensed soccer coach with over 20 years experience.
All positions are needed, including goalkeeper.
All players must have been born after August 1st, 1991.

This is a new team for players interested in playing high-level soccer in the future and want to learn advanced tactics, techniques (fundamental, dynamic, integral), physical fitness and psychology.

Seneca Fillies

SSA Fillies, WAGS U-19 Division 2 for the Fall 2008 season are replacing graduating seniors with individual players or a small group of players. Practices are in the Rockville area with our U-18 sister team SSA Eagles.

The coaches are Rob Kurtz (B-CC HS) and Mike Hayes (Rockville HS) Both teams train together year round. Local, State Cup, Collegiate Club Tournaments. Our roster consists of a mix of all High School age players as are most teams competing in U-19 division.

Seneca Alliance Premier

SSA Alliance Premier is looking for players that are dedicated and willing to learn to add to a very talented roster for the upcoming U-9 NCSL fall season.  Age qualification - player's cannot be turning 9 years old before Aug. 1, 2008 to tryout.

The team will play in 4-6 tournaments during the year and we are an all year around program - winter we will play Futsal and during the summer we will play in tournaments.
