The
Seneca Soccer Association (SSA) sponsors both boys and girls youth
soccer teams in the travel leagues of the Metropolitan Washington DC
area. These are primarily the National Capital Soccer League (NCSL)
for boys and the Washington Area Girls Soccer League (WAGS) for girls.
Since 1984, SSA has a long-standing
philosophy of autonomous control by the member teams. We offer a club
environment that encourages self-determination by our individual teams
and promote the viewpoint that there is no single formula for success
in youth soccer. Participation, growth, friendships -- these are the
measures of a successful youth soccer experience and create a lifelong
love of "the Beautiful Game".
In 2003, SSA formed a relationship with
the Damascus Soccer Club to co-host the August Cup Tournament which is
played annually on the weekend before Labor Day. It serves as a great
tune-up for teams prior to beginning their fall league seasons. In
2007, we attracted 278 teams to play in our tournament which is
held at the well-known SoccerPlex site in Germantown, MD and other
sites nearby. Please
visit our tournament website and join us next August.

Our teams and home fields are based in
Montgomery County, MD. As a customer of the Maryland
Soccer Foundation, we also play a number of our home games at the
Maryland SoccerPlex facility in Germantown.
