Goalkeepers Clinic
The Seneca Soccer Association will be
hosting a training clinic dedicated to our goalkeepers. The clinic
will run for eight sessions and be directed by Billy Warren who has a
long history and proven track record training goalies at the youth, high
school and college levels.
Too often, goalkeepers practice only with the field players on their
team. This is an opportunity for them to receive specialized training
given by a goalkeeper for goalkeepers. Attend in place of one of your
regular practices or in addition to your regular team sessions.
When: Wednesday's beginning March
19th (not held on March 26th due to spring break) and continuing for 8
weeks.
Time: 5:00 to 6:00 PM for the U9 to
U11 age groups.
6:00 to 7:00 PM for
the U12 and above age groups
Where: Germantown Elementary School
Cost: $100 per player for the full 8
sessions

The U-11 Girls
SSA Hornets

were champions of the 2008 Carroll Indoor Presidents Day tournament
in February. They completed there run to the trophy by beating a
U-12 Division 1 PAGS team in the finals by a 2-1 score.
The Seneca Soccer Association is proud to have two state champions
in the 2008 Maryland State Futsal Cup tournament. Both the U-10 Boys
SSA Dragons III

and the U-11 Girls SSA Hornets

went undefeated to bring home championship trophies. The SSA Hornets
entered this year's tournament as the defending champion. The teams
produced a combined record of 10 wins, 2 ties and 0 losses during
their championship runs. Congratulations to both teams.
The SSA
United U-17B team were the champions of the indoor High School
Boys East League at the Rockville SportsPlex. The United played
great and finished with a perfect 7-0-0 record with a total goal
differential of +20.
The SSA Saints won the A-flight championship in the U-13G age
group in the Hagerstown Mason -Dixon Cup Tournament in May beating
the Redland Lightning of Pennsylvania in the finals.

Storm won the championship in the U-13 G age group in the MSI
March Madness Tournament in March scoring 21 goals and giving up
none.

The SSA Hornets won the Elite Flight championship in the
U-10G age group in the Prince William Invitational Tournament in
March and outscored their opponents by 21-3.

Chesapeake division in the MSI March Madness tournament.
